Vice President, Construction
William Flammer joined NorSouth in 1987, after 18 years of experience in multifamily, commercial and industrial construction. He heads NorSouth Construction, the corporate arm serving as General Contractor responsible for construction of all apartment properties developed by NorSouth and its affiliates.
From 1969 to 1972, Flammer worked with Rust Engineering Company as a field engineer and assistant superintendent on industrial construction projects in Alabama, Louisiana and Pennsylvania, totaling over $53 million. He also served as project manager for Castle Construction Company, then T.H. Taylor Construction Company, until 1979. His reponsibilities with those two firms included projects in Alabama, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina, with contracts valued at over $25 million.
As a partner and Vice President of Management Builders Inc., Flammer spent the next five years in charge of the construction of multifamily apartment properties with contracts totaling in excess of $28 million. From 1984 to 1987, he continued his work in multifamily construction as General Manager of American-Owens, Inc., where he ran apartment rehabilitation projects with contracts valued at over $18 million.
Flammer earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University in 1969. He is a registered professional engineer in Alabama, and he holds a General Contractor’s license (Unlimited Building Classification) in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
